Meet Our Provider

Work Experience:

Our provider, Mercy Ndambuki, has been caring for the elderly for eight years. Mercy is originally from Kenya in Eastern Africa. In Kenya, there are no homes or facilities for the elderly, so it is the community’s responsibility to care for, love, and maintain dignity for the elderly. The community in Kenya is family. You care and respect community members like your own family.

She has worked as a caregiver in all kinds of care settings like long-term care facilities, assisted living, Developmental Disability settings, and group homes. She was a Resident manager for an Adult Family Home for three years. Mercy has completed course work in the United States and is a Registered Nursing Assistant and a Certified Nursing Assistant with special Dementia, Mental Health, and Developmental Disabilities training.

A little more about Mercy:

She had the privilege to live with her two grandmothers. Mercy’s sisters joke about her not walking until she was 2 years of age because her grandmother never put her down. She was always either on her lap or her back. They say she fed her butter which is why she was a very healthy baby. She has a special bond and a need to care for the old.

In loving memory…
